The Goudse Poort is an outdated business park with a lot of empty halls along the highway at the entrance of Gouda. The architecture centre of Gouda decided to launch a competition. The Goudse Poort will become a model of sustainable renovated business park: it will be multifunctional, energy autonomous, qualitative, welcoming, etc.

We chose a 4-steps strategy. First we will prepare the business park by giving a new recognizable ring. Secondly we will improve public spaces, emphasize the natural area and renovate the facades to give a new atmosphere to the park. Then, we will deconstruct the empty halls and use the newly free space to create energy. Finally, the business park will attract new entrepreneurs and users. This is the New Energy concept!
