The Better Block team, famous for their tactical approach, travelled twice to Australia in 2013 to share their method. Australians have been listening! Phil Stubbs, media educator, initiated Clovelly Road Better Block, 4^th in the country, 1^st in Sydney and made it work thanks to Facebook. The purpose was to transform for a day the shopping strip of Clovelly Road and make it greener, safer and human – by slowing traffic and adding trees, tables, chairs, art, music, food and more life in general. It has been a great success as about 3000 people – both from the local community and civic leaders – attended the event.
