I have been asked, together with partners from Zooow! Building Formats and Hogeschool Utrecht to help start the integral and sustainable improvement of the station square in Amersfoort. Very typical issue in the Netherlands: bike parking. There is not enough and it is not leaving any space on the square for other activities like dwelling, sitting, meeting, relaxing, waching performances or eating and drinking.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Initiator One Planet is a foundation playing the role of catalyst and incubator of sustainability. It offers solutions against climate change and promote a liveable world with less CO2 emissions and a smaller footprint per person. It creates and realises innovative en inspiring projects which enable people to live, work and play sustainably, within each one\u2019s allocated global footprint.<\/p>\n

We offered the following collaborative process: 1. Organisation of stakeholders. 2. Inventary. 3. Co-creation. 4. Strategies. 5. First projects. 6. Monitor and update.<\/p>\n

We developed placemaking principles and used precedents to give a direction and design a sustainable plan for the future.<\/p>\n
