V-MARKT, New Ecodistrict

The Veemarkt was a place where cattle was sold and then the biggest car market in Europe. It is located not far from the centre of Utrecht and is also very close to the countryside. That is why it has been decided to move the Veemarkt and to build a new eco-neighbourhood here.

After having analysed the district and shared relevant documentation and findings with stakeholders, we have co-developed a participation strategy with the city of Utrecht.

Wilhelminahaven is part of bigger Rotterdam’s old haven evolving towards mixed-use districts. As in Rotterdam, the area is outdated but has a lot of potential due to its historical buildings and its location. Groningen is the capital of the North-East region of the Netherlands. At the back of the station, there is a dated area, used extensively. Prorail owns a part of this site and wanted to know what its value is. Continue reading
